Millions Of Fish Found Dead In Redondo Beach Harbor « CBS Los Angeles.
Some interesting news, apparently a large group of anchovies were trying to escape a red tide, but couldn’t make it out and got stuck against the harbor wall. Didn’t take too long for them to use up all the oxygen in the water and perish.

Featured Article – California Ships to Reefs Announce Dana Point Project.
California Ships to Reefs (CSTR) is going to be creating the nation’s second largest ship based-reef in Dana Point. Using the USS Kawishiwi, a decommissioned fleet oiler, as the new reef after it has been cleaned and made ready for diving. The wreck will be 655 feet long, and southwest of Dana Point Harbor. Check it out.

Help give sharks a fighting chance, sign the petition at the Project AWARE’s site below. The goal is to reach 100,000 signatures by June 9th. Currently, restrictions on international trade are in place for only three species, whale shark, great white and basking shark. This petition looks to better protect sharks world-wide. Take a look.
